Is Milk Makeup Cruelty-Free?

Does Milk Makeup test on animals or sell in China?

Milk Makeup is a gluten-free and clean beauty brand that can be found at Sephora. But is Milk Makeup cruelty-free?

For a company to be considered cruelty-free they have to meet all of the following criteria:

  • Do not test any of their products or ingredients on animals
  • Don’t allow others to test on their behalf
  • Do not sell in a country where animal testing is required.

After doing a bit of research, I found that Milk Makeup does meet the above cruelty-free requirements and is considered to be a cruelty-free makeup brand.

Let’s look into what all of that really means and what you can do about it.

Is Milk Makeup Certified Cruelty-Free?

When researching a brand’s cruelty-free status my first stop is the certified cruelty-free list. There are three organizations that give official certifications to brands around the world: Leaping Bunny, Peta, and Choose Cruelty-Free.

Milk Makeup is certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny

It’s wonderful that they are Leaping Bunny certified. They do a thorough vetting process and are the gold standard when it comes to cruelty-free certifications. Honestly, my research could stop here but I want to give you as much information about Milk Makeup as possible.

Does Milk Makeup Test on Animals?

The next step in my research is going directly to the company’s animal testing policy to see where they stand. Milk Makeup’s policy can be found in the ‘FAQ’ section of their website. Here is what it states:

“Yes, all of our products are cruelty-free. We do not test our products or ingredients on animals and we do not retail in any country that requires animal testing.”

Between their animal policy statement and the Leaping Bunny certification, I can confirm that Milk Makeup is a cruelty-free brand.
